A Request for Information (RFI) is sent to the market before a Request for Proposal or Request for Quotation, to learn what suppliers can offer. The answers are not binding. This template states the need, the timeline, how and where to answer, what the response must contain and how the answers will be used, with a short sustainability (ESG) block. Pair it with the RFI Questionnaire spreadsheet, which scores the answers.
